research it turns out online purchases aren’t actually available in australia, it’s only ever been available in the us, japan and uk
however, it seems that people have found through a bit of source code browsing and url hackery you can actually take product ids from the uk store and purchase them using an australian account
what the hell are you on about, online purchases are absolutely available in australia! did you even look at the link i posted?
to buy a game through a browser you start at the australian nintendo site
click “nintendo switch” then “nintendo switch games”
scroll to a game, click the link, then scroll down to “purchase in australia”
that takes you to the eshop page which looks exactly like the in-switch page, including further links to dlc etc
there is no hacking, no dealing with source code
your “further research” is obviously complete crap
not all games are available through the web store
games like celeste and deadcells aren’t even on there and games like botw don’t have a purchase button
not on the wii u though surely? i thought it only came in with the switch
yeah, it got to our region way later, but we had the ability to use the site before it ticked over to the switch
i used it once out of curiosity, i dunno, it wasn’t as big of a deal to me as it apparently is to others
yeah i really don’t know what other people are talking about
it was literally 4 clicks away from the confirm purchase page, about as easy as any other store
why talk shit? because i fucked up
maybe a neurological spasm? i looked it up at work and couldn’t for the life of me get to a purchase screen
eshop has both celeste and dead cells on sale, 2 of the biggest indies of the year
